Barcelona Dragons sanctify former NFL kicker Giorgio Tavecchio

Munich – New signing in the European Football League. The Barcelona Dragons have reinvented themselves with kicker Giorgio Tevecchio. According to the team, the Italian will play for the Dragons for the remainder of the ELF season.

The 30-year-old was already under contract with six NFL teams. That’s why he wore the jerseys of the 49ers, Packers, Lions, Raiders, Falcons and Titans.

The most successful moments with the Raiders

His most successful moment was with the Raiders. The franchise has offered him a contract three times, but has also fired him three times. He only made it into the practice squad on the fourth attempt, and then joined the active squad after regular kicker Sebastian Janikowski was injured.

He played his first NFL game in September 2017 against the Titans, registering all four goals and two more points. A feat that earned him the NFL Special Teams Player of the Week award.

By the end of the season, he had converted 33 of 34 extra points and 16 of 21 field goal attempts. However, after signing Mike Nugent, Tavecchio was fired the following August.

The Italian also had a shot at the Falcons and after a decent performance, including a converted 56-yard field goal, won the special team award again. But again, he was sacked after signing another kicker.

Recently he was part of the Titans’ training squad.
