As the German Bundesliga nears the end of its season, information is starting to leak online about the shirts some clubs will wear in the 2021-22 season. Here’s a look at what we know so far:
Borussia Dortmund (home)
Soccer Jersey Blog FootyHeadlines reports from multiple sources that the above will be Borussia Dortmund’s home shirt in 2021-2022.
The jersey, made by Puma, features Dortmund’s familiar ‘Cyber Yellow’ base with diagonal black stripes on the sleeves and a solid black block on the shoulders. The word “DORTMUND” appears on the back in what appears to be the same font Puma is using on club kits this season. FootyHeadlines reports that the shorts will be black and the socks yellow, although the exact designs are not yet known.
Dortmund’s ‘cup kit’ was leaked last week with other Puma change kits which will feature an unconventional model. This jersey would also be a neon yellow reminiscent of the shirts the team wore in the mid-1990s.
Bayern Munich (away)
FootyHeadlines also reports that Bayern Munich – who, as of publication date, are seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table – will sport a predominantly black away jersey in 2021-2022.
The front of the jersey will feature a gray pattern in the lower left corner and a metallic gold print for the names, numbers, sponsor logos and crest. The club have a jersey agreement with adidas.
The back collar features the coat of arms of the city of Munich, also in metallic gold.
Another leak last week reportedly showed Bayern’s 2021-22 home shirt, featuring two shades of red and inspired by ‘superheroes’.
FC Union Berlin (home)
Meanwhile, FootyHeadlines believes that the FC Union Berlin 2021-22 shirts will be simple, straightforward and stylish.
The blog reports that next year’s Berlin home jerseys, also made by adidas, will be predominantly red, with white stripes, collars and cuffs. The collar will also have a red border.
