Mill Creek MetroParks announces NFL Youth Flag Football League in Wick Recreation Area

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Mill Creek MetroParks announced the launch of its first NFL mixed youth flag football league this spring in Wick Recreation Area.

The league is powered by NFL Flag, and participants will wear Mill Creek MetroParks and NFL jerseys with additional NFL Flag support resources available to coaches and participants.

“Backed by the NFL and our experienced league staff, we pride ourselves on delivering a flag football experience that includes alcohol-free games for families, cheerleaders, and fun, fast-paced football action,” said Chris Bundy, recreation manager. .

The games will be held on Saturdays at the Wick Recreation Area in Youngstown from May 14 to June 18.

Registration is now open to 4U, 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U players with skill assessments taking place on April 11 or 12. The evaluations will be followed by a draft of the coaches for the team selections.

Each player will receive a jersey, flags with belt, socks, shorts, drawstring bag, water bottle, optional shoe accessories and team photo opportunities.
