Southampton to wear limited edition kits for charity this weekend – SportsLogos.Net News

English football club Southampton FC will be sporting special edition kits this weekend to raise awareness and funds for their in-house charity and the community work they do.

The kits, produced by Hummel, are a white version of their Third kit 2021-22, featuring embossed graphics of their old stadium, The Dell, and their new stadium, St. Mary’s. The trim around the thick v-neck and sleeve cuffs is red, as are the manufacturer and sponsor logos, including the Hummel chevrons on the sleeves. The club crest appears in monochromatic red.

The men’s first team will wear the kits on Saturday February 5, when they take on Coventry City in the FA Cup fourth round. The Southampton women’s team will also wear them on Sunday February 6, when they take on Hashtag United in the Women’s National League Cup.

A total of 500 shirts will be available for fans to purchase in the team store at St. Mary’s and online from 10am UK time on Friday 4 February. These shirts will be packaged in individually numbered display boxes and retail for £99. each.

Shirts worn by the men’s and women’s teams will also be auctioned online starting the week of February 14.

All proceeds from jersey sales and auctions will benefit the saints foundation, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The foundation runs community programs in Southampton for children, the elderly and all ages in between.
