Two of the most popular NFL players right now are members of the Philadelphia Eagles. At least in terms of jersey sales.
FOX Sports recently shared the following data:
The timeline isn’t explicitly set, but I’m assuming it’s for last month. Here is the list in written form for your viewing convenience:
1 – Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tim Tebow (teal)
2 – Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tim Tebow (black)
3 – Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (blue)
4 – Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (orange)
5 – Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (white)
6 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady (white)
7 – Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris
8 – Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert
9 – Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes
10 – Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers
11 – Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith
12 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady (red)
13 – Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts
14 – Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence
15 – Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow
Some quick thoughts:
- MDR. Tebow! Glad to see a former Eagles legend topping the list with two different jerseys. There is no way he does not make the Jags list, right? It’s crazy how dramatically he outclasses their starting quarterback and their No.1 pick overall.
- Regardless of the legacy (therefore, someone like Jason Kelce or Brian Dawkins), Smith is arguably the best Eagles jersey buy you can make right now. Philly’s roster isn’t exactly filled with exciting young talent. Smith is the best bet to be a valuable contributor for years to come. Too, DeVonta wearing # 6 is just a cool look. He won the Heisman in this issue and he is one of the only starting receivers currently wearing a single number.
- It makes sense to see Hurts here with him take over as the Eagles’ starting quarterback and also move from No.2 to No.1. Risky buy, though. There’s a good chance he won’t be the Eagles long-term starter under center.
